Priorities
The Expect Greatness campaign is composed of a number of significant goals, including the establishment and/or enhancement of Eastern Illinois University's relationships with its alumni in an effort to enlist an increased number of those alumni as campaign volunteers. These goals build to the campaign's chief aspiration, which is to raise $50 million in contributed support — a number that will set a university record if achieved.
With both academic and athletic goals in mind, five areas of priority have been determined as campaign focus points:
Why Your Contributions Are Important
Over the past decade, state contributions have played a less and less significant role in funding. Your generosity can help keep tuition and fees at a manageable level for our students.
What is Your EIU Story 
I loved how welcome I felt when I first came to Eastern. It was like every teacher, advisor, and counselor was there to help and was solely concerned about the success of the students. I miss my hometown of Barrington sometimes, but then I am reminded of how kind and welcoming everyone has been to me at EIU and it feels like home.
